The social role of JOTIS is in complete alignment with the philosophy and the values that govern the operation of the company. Through actions and collaborations with government owned institutions, the Local Government, but also Educational, Cultural, Charitable and non-profit Institutions, we are in continuous vigilance to offer help and our support.

The CHILD is the main pillar of the social work that JOTIS has developed over the years. Within this framework the company is an active supporter of the following institutions: ELPIDA (HOPE), HAMOGELO TOU PAIDIOU (THE CHILD’S SMILE), KANE MIA EFCHI (MAKE A WISH-Greece), MERIMNA, Bethlehem Institution, AROGI Institution, while it has advanced in the establishment of granting scholarships to poor children all over Greece.

The education and the training of mothers with respect to a correct and healthy diet for their children is a main area of concern since the establishment of JOTIS, and it is realized through special publications of books in collaboration with distinguished professors and Universities.

Regarding the issues of acceptance and the support of DIVERSITY, our interest is demonstrated with our works within the framework of a society of opportunities and possibilities. For this reason the support of people with autism and their families, via the aid offered to St. Nikolaos, the Parents and Guardians’ Association of Autistic People constitutes a significant part of the social corporate responsibility of JOTIS.

Under the same philosophy we supported the 3rd International Festival Emotion Pictures entitled “Documentary and Disability”, that was held in the Benaki Museum in June 2009. It is an important institution which has as a starting point the Arts and aims at the development of an extended dialog for the essential incorporation of individuals with disabilities in society. Disability, war, the unfavorable working conditions and the environmental destruction were the main themes that caused the social reflection of thousands of people that met in the aforesaid Festival.

At the same time JOTIS offers material and moral support to regions in emergency situations (earthquake victims and fire-stricken regions) and it has participated in humanitarian aid programs (Cyprus, Bosnia, Albania, etc.).

Respect for human beings, quality of life and the environment constitute our constant priority, a fact that is confirmed by the active participation in tree-planting programs that are organized by the Local Government. Sports supplement the social activity of JOTIS through the support of athletic organizations and cultural events.
