Raisin cake
INGREDIENTS
4 cups Blue Farina JOTIS
1 cup raisins
1 cup salad oil
1 ½ cups sugar
1 ½ cups coarsely chopped walnuts
1/3 cup brandy
2 cups orange juice
1 teaspoon JOTIS Baking Powder
½ teaspoon cinnamon powder
½ teaspoon cloves powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon orange zest
PREPARATION
In a large bowl shift the JOTIS farina and mix in the cinnamon, cloves and JOTIS baking powder. Make a well in the centre and add the salad oil. Stir until the oil is combined. Add the sugar and the orange juice to which you have first added the baking soda and the brandy. Beat for a little while and then add the walnuts and the raisins. Continue beating until all ingredients are combined. Oil a cake pan Nr. 32 and pour in the mixture. Bake in preheated oven at 180 °C for 1 hour. When baked you may sprinkle powdered sugar and cinnamon on top.
