Ravani cake with chocolate sauce
INGREDIENTS
I box of JOTIS Ravani
1 sachet JOTIS Couverture shavings
6 eggs
1 cup milk
200 g butter or margarine
2 cups sugar
1 cup fresh cream
PREPARATION
Preheat the oven at 180 °C. Beat with a mixer for 5 minutes at high speed the sugar, eggs and butter. Lower the speed and add to the mixture the two sachets, the ravani mix and the milk. Continue beating for half a minute. Pour the batter in a buttered pan and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Allow the ravani to cool completely before adding the syrup. Cut the ravani in rhomboid or square servings.
Boil two cups water (600 ml) and add the contents of the syrup sachets and stir until dissolved. Remove from heat and pour uniformly over cake and allow it to absorb.
Next heat the fresh cream in a saucepan and add the dark chocolate flakes stirring constantly until melted. Pour this glaze over the ravani cake.
