The program is implemented in collaboration with the non-profit company HOPEgenesis.
The corporate social responsibility program of YIOTIS SA "A hope is born!" for the reduction of inferiority, implemented in cooperation with the non-profit company HOPEgenesis, was presented at an open event held on Wednesday, November 28, at the Conference Center in the Municipality of Karpenissi. The Mayor of Karpenisi, Mr. Souliotis, the Commercial Director of YIOTIS SA Mr. Marios Papathanasiou, President and Founder of HOPEgenesis Dr. Stefanos Chandakas, representatives of local authorities and the Media, as well as interested parties participated in the event.
Through this initiative, YIOTIS SA wishes to contribute to reducing the low birth rate, which is a major threat to the future of the country and, in particular, to the most remote areas, due to the more difficult conditions, such as limited access to medical and obstetric infrastructure. Under the program, YIOTIS SA "adopts", for 4 years, 90 remote villages in Greece belonging to the Regions of Sterea Hellas and Epirus. The villages belong to the Regional Departments of Evrytania, Fokida, Fthiotida, Evia and Arta. Specifically in the 14 Municipal Units of the Karpenisi, Doris, Lamia, Makrakomi, Karystos and Central Tzoumerka Municipalities.
YIOTIS SA with the collaboration of HOPEgenesis will stand next to the village-resident women who have adopted and who wish to become mothers. In particular, for the women who will be included in the program, on the sole basis of being permanent residents of these areas, they will cover all the costs of attending their pregnancy, antenatal and maternity trials, as well as all transportation and hospitality expenses. In addition, YIOTIS will cover the needs of infant food for babies born in the "adopted" villages for the first two years of their lives.
In the Municipality of Karpenissi the following 36 local communities are included: Krikello, Ambliani, Domnista, Mesokomi, Roska, Stavli, Psiana, Agia Triada, Agios Charalampos, Domiani, Petralona, Hochlia, Megalo Horio, Aniada, Dermatti, Karitsa, Klausis, Mikro Chorio , Mouzilos, Nostimo, Sygrellos, Chelidona, Prousos, Alestia, Aspropyrgos, Velotas, Ensochoria, Kastanea, Katavothra, Prodromos, Sarkini, Stavrohori, Tornos, Fourna, Vraha, Kletsos.
